Sharita Spears, a native of St. Francisville, Louisiana, remains deeply rooted in her community through her extensive volunteer work and professional affiliations.

Sharita is a proud graduate of Southern University Law Center, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2018. Her academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Northwestern State University in 2006 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2011.

She is an active Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for the 20th Judicial District, serving both East and West Feliciana Parishes. Sharita also dedicates her time and leadership skills to the American Correctional Association, the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Lions Club, the Junior League of Baton Rouge, the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society, Greater Baton Rouge Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and the Southern States Correctional Association.  Additionally, she is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Feliciana Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association, and the National Bar Association, actively participating in their pro bono initiatives.
